"It was definitely a journey with ups and downs," Nicole shares. "I started keto and lost a bunch of weight. But when I tried to revert to 'regular eating habits,' I gained a bunch of weight back." Undeterred, Nicole returned to her keto lifestyle and found a balance that worked for her. Today, she follows a 90% keto diet, allowing herself some flexibility during holidays and once a month for carb loads.

"A lot of times we have to be our own cheerleader. No one is going to be there every day cheering you on to move your body or to eat better, but yourself."

Nicole has found solace in another nurturing hobby - gardening. There's something incredibly grounding about getting your hands in the dirt, nurturing plants, and watching them grow.
